Elephant Zine Pre-Release This Weekend

I hope you all have been keeping it very poetry, & hopefully with us all summer long! Ready for more? What a way to start the Fall Semester other than: A Music Show! Art on Display! A Poetry Reading! and Further Madness!

You are cordially invited to a Red Floors Gallery event:

Saturday, September 6th, 7 pm to 2 am* (note time correction) Red Floors Gallery 1328 W 18th St Chicago, 60608

only $5.00 U.S. Dollars!

*Last train is at 1:14 a.m.

Blue Island bus runs late to Blue Line (Clinton) so plan accordingly!

The Charming Gardeners will be playing their first and last Chicago show. A psychedelic rock experiment from a Chicago basement, The Charming Gardeners have been together for three years playing in completely free form style, exploring the intuitive, the irreverent, and sometimes the stoned and zany sides of music. They will unite one last time with member Scott Frigo, to send him off on a grand adventure. The band will play a short set on the roof at around 9 pm.

Gallery art includes work by Michelle Manni, Riley Crane, Vincent Finazzo, Anne Marie Hobbs, and other Red Floors Gallery collaborators and contributors. Work will be on display all night and throughout the rest of the month.

Poetry will be read throughout the evening. Featured poets include Jen NW, Tyler Flynn Dorholt, Andy Koszewski, Faithfully Yours, Stephanie Lane Sutton, the Elephants Zine crew, and many more. Please feel free to bring five minutes of work and get on the list to read! This is often the most exciting and dynamic portion of the evening so show up early and don't miss a thing!

Collaboration and mind expansion is natural. Bring your pen. Bring an open mind.

Poets, this night is for you!
